There is a vast difference between what a 3 year old likes and a teenager. This is where a lot of the skill, in entertaining children comes in to play. No two parties are the same. Assessing the children up to see how they are reacting to the program of events, then adjust the format accordingly. For younger children, this will be a combination of dancing games, puppets, magic and fun, There is no set format every party is different. For older children, unlike an adult disco DJ, who just stands and plays music with little or no chat, I interact with the kids, I do not play inappropriate or music with explicit lyrics. I feature dance routines and give the children instruction on the dance moves. if the occasion is a birthday party, the birthday child is always the centre of attraction.
